Sink or Float

Suggested Items: Various objects, water table.

  • Objective:

    To engage preschool children in a hands-on science activity that teaches them about buoyancy and the properties of different materials through the fun and interactive "Sink or Float" experiment.

    Materials Needed:

    - Water Table or a large container filled with water (enough to submerge various items)

    - A variety of objects for testing (e.g., plastic toys, wooden blocks, metal spoons, rubber balls, small plastic bottles, rocks, leaves, etc.)

    - Tongs or a scoop (for safety when handling certain objects)

    - Chart paper and markers for recording results
